Old Blanket Basket 2
This is the second in a series of gourds with pine needles. It is approximately 10" high x 14" wide x 42" around and is embelished with glass beads and metal jingles. Each in this series begins with a very unusual shaped gourd which might not otherwise be used and is intended to express the Beauty in all things. Each will have different blanket designs beneath the woven pine needles. The first in this series is owned by actor Dennis Haysbert of motion picture and television fame.

Acorn Dreams

I will work with the Gourd People to create these Acorn Dreams vessels to be about 4" to 5" tall x 4" wide x 7" to 9" around. Although they will be small, they will represent the importance of the acorn as food for so many different Native of this Turtle Island. Also reminging us that all we have is from our Mother, the Earth and stressing the reality of the importance of learning how to care for the land where we live. They are great for when you want to gift an original one of a kind item to family, friends or clients.

Faded Glory
This mask is stars and stripes visited by a few ponies from the past. The driftwood on the top implies feathers while the images of horseshoe prints and ponies represents the way history repeats it's self patiently for us to learn our lessons until we get them down to a fine art. There are feathers and the circle of the four directions to help us say our prayers. My feelings while working on this offering were ones of respect and honor for the elders and leaders of our ancestors that have walked on with the knowledge that the most important things are the things we don't possess. 9" x 9"

Wild Horses
I have been taught that horses represent many things, wealth, mobility and most powerful; the Thunder Beings. These Horses carry many colors while running under a cloudy sky. I am taught that they are know to rescue two-leggeds from great danger in a matter of seconds that gives the world an experience of miracles. The top is trimmed with deer skin and hand tied along the top edge with one red heart glass bead. 5" High x 9" Across and 28" around.

Woodlands Flowers
These four directions flowers show one of the designs of the Woodlands tribes of the Great Lakes area. The top is a solid space of about 1" of hand stitched seed beads with a leaf and berry design, while the lower hand stitched beading for the flowers also carries the berry design there is one stray leaf for the Mystery. The hand stitched decoration is executed using the lazy stitch 5 bead style. 12" High x 10" Across and 33" around.
